Dejon: A Legacy of Athletic Mentorship
Growing up in the vibrant communities of Los Angeles and Pasadena, California, Dejon distinguished himself as a dual-sport athlete during his high school years. His personal experience as an athlete would later inform his professional journey, creating a foundation of authentic understanding that would benefit countless young talents.
Dejon’s career in the recruiting industry spans more than three decades, beginning in 1992 when he joined Sports Placement Services as a determined sports representative. There, he worked alongside some of the most legendary figures in sports history, including boxing icon Muhammad Ali, baseball pitching virtuoso Sandy Koufax, football legend Jim Brown, and boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard, among other elite athletes.
In 1995, Dejon followed his passion by founding Student Athlete Assistance Service (S.A.A.S). This venture represented a pivotal moment in his career, as he discovered his true calling: guiding young athletes toward achieving their dreams. This realization marked the beginning of a dedicated mission that continues to this day.
Throughout his career, Dejon has transformed the lives of thousands of student-athletes, helping them navigate the complex world of collegiate recruitment and athletic advancement. His extensive experience, combined with his personal background as an athlete, has established him as a trusted mentor and advocate in the sports recruiting landscape.
